Living Desert State Park is a 1,100-acre zoo and botanical garden that features more than 40 animals in their native habitats. The aviary at the zoo features an exciting selection of local birds, including the golden eagle, roadrunners, turkeys, and more. The park is located northwest of Carlsbad, past the Riverside Country Club.
